### Is there forklift certification near me?

Wherever you are. Forklift certification is not something you travel to collect — 29 CFR 1910.178(l) puts the duty to train, evaluate and certify operators on the employer, and the evaluation has to happen in your own workplace, on the truck the operator will actually use. So the useful question is not where the nearest training center is, it is who will deliver the training and who will run the evaluation on your site. ### Can I get forklift certified online?

The classroom part, yes. Practical training and a workplace performance evaluation are required. An employer may arrange these with a qualified in-house trainer or outside provider. Off-site instruction or relevant previous training may count, but the employer must establish competence for the assigned trucks and workplace.
